Digital Learning & Academics

You can start by studying pre-learning anytime, anywhere, and at your convenience.

In-Water Training on the Freediving Course is in Beautiful Port Stephens

During the pool/confined water training, we will teach you all the necessary skills in a controlled environment. When you are comfortable and ready to go to the open water. During the open water training dives, you will apply your knowledge. Then, repeat the skills in a real-world environment with our guidance.

How do I get there?

Port Stephens is located approximately 45 minutes north of Newcastle or 2 ½ hours from Sydney.  Our set locations will vary for the course, due to weather conditions.  You will be given all necessary information, maps and times before you attend the course.

Freediving seems pretty extreme, what if I can’t do it?

Freediving is an incredibly relaxing activity that combines disciplines of the body and the mind. We will guide each guest individually to their own ability and limits. If for any reason you don’t feel like diving, you can still have a blast snorkeling around crystal clear waters or maybe doubling up on your yoga practice. Our Freediving instructors are very experienced and take safety very seriously, you are in really good hands.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

Our courses are open to people of all swimming abilities, ocean experience and swimming fitiness is useful. If you are concerned, please drop us an email and our instructors can talk you through the plan and evacuate any doubts.

What equipment will I need?

If you have your own dive mask, snorkel, wetsuit, fins and weight belt, it’ll be great to bring it along. It’s always best to dive with your own equipment, with which you are familiar, or familiarise yourself with your new equipment before you start diving without an instructor.

If you don’t have your own gear, don’t worry!  All your diving equipment that you need can be hired directly through us for the weekend.

Can I eat before the course?

Light meals are better before diving, especially on Sunday, before the ocean sessions.
